November 2006

I have nothing to sell until the spring. Strong demand for females has meant that they sell as soon as they are available.

This is a very encouraging situation for all Hereford breeders, and for new buyers it gives the confidence to get started. (once you have sourced your first females)

December 31st 2005

We have had a successful year, selling all the females offered. The private meat sales are good and I should have the cutting room up to standard for public meat sales by March 06.
There will be a small number of non registered cows and calves to sell in the spring, and some fresh calved pedigree heifers for sale in the back end

I do not have any cattle left to sell this year off the farm. I am taking my best 5 hiefers born last spring as in-calvers to The Society Autumn Show and Sale.

There has been a much stronger interest in Herefords this year, with several new herds starting up. Many of these new herds are in conversion to organic.
